who are we?

Quick (and always welcome!) strong coffee with Jo, co-founder of the Release and Reinvigorate Retreat

What do you do…

Lots of things!!!  Ha Ha!  For my day job, I’m an Operations Director for a design company in Bristol …Lots of Commercial/Project Management type stuff for the non- day job… that’s a different story, you see.... I met up with a Master Teacher of Reiki and got my Reiki 1 and 2, lovely lady… you might of heard of her.. Becca Spittles! Tee hee…. Well we hit it off, we were totally inspired by each other and decided to organise retreats for likeminded lovely ladies… the rest is history!

What do you want other people to get from this retreat.

Stillness, Release, Time Out & Strength

Describe a fond childhood moment.

Oh god… I have so many… honestly truly so bloody lucky  - I had an amazing childhood with incredibly supportive loving parents and just the best sister in the universe…  Up there would be Family Parties in the Kitchen… the best parties are always in the kitchen! And hunting out presents (with no success I might add!) with my sister every time my Grandparents came to stay at Christmas!

What do you think is your best quality

If you could do anything, besides what you're doing now, what would you do?

Oooh… I absolutely love my job, but as cliched as this sounds, I think I would like to have more time to make people smile ..to do something that helps, something a bit more rewarding…. Its why I really love doing the retreat stuff… so… yeah, more retreat stuff and possibly explore creative therapy

What was your first car – how did you get it?

Ahhh…loved my first car – A cream coloured mini with a brown tartan interior. I worked at Devon Savouries and saved up £700 to pay for it… Worst Job EVER! I’ve never been able to look at a cheese n’bacon in the same way again!

If you had a Time Machine, what Time Period would you visit and why?

I think I’d go back to the Regency Period – Jane Austin time…. And the possibility of meeting Mr Darcy in a lake in      Pembrokeshire would be too good to refuse!

Describe an accomplishment you are proud of.

Keeping it together all be it questionably on occasion through life’s tough times.  #warrior!

What’s the most random thing in your kitchen drawer… we all have one of those drawers!

A nokia 3310!... why have I kept this…crazy ?!?

What is your guilty pleasure

Not sharing a family sized pack of crisps whilst watching a Rom Com

How would people describe you when you left school

A bit of a hippy!  Friendly & motivated!

Where would you travel if you could go anywhere

Well, apart from gate crashing your trip to India with Sue Perkins, I’d love to see the Northern Lights

Favourite Alcoholic Beverage

It would be impossible for me to have just one favourite!  Wine, Gin and always Sherry!

What do you think the most ridiculous invention that exists is

SLIME!.... I mean really!

Favourite Snack Food.

Cheese, Cheese & more Cheese…just stating for the record, the fact that you DO NOT like Cheese, was almost a deal breaker for me!

Last question… We are coming to the end of 2018… what are you gonna take from it…

Woah.. OK…

There are things in our life that we don’t want to happen, but have to accept; there are things we don’t want to know but have to learn and there are people we can’t live without that we have to say goodbye to… so what’s important… Love & Memories, I shall be giving more love and making more memories next year
